The leading mobile operator in the Central American market, Millicom Tigo, launched a  balance advance service for prepaid mobiles using Tiaxa’s nanocredit platform.

Tigo Panama, as part of its #Stayathome campaign, launched a new  balance advance service for prepaid mobiles using Tiaxa’s platform. Tigo assures that the arrival of the nanocredit service has come at the right time for Panamanians, because many users are experiencing difficulties to perform top-ups in physical stores due to the quarantine.

This is one of the new services launched by  Tigo Panamá (ex-Movistar) of the Millicom holding. The latter bought the operations of Telefonica Panama in 2019. Currently Tigo Millicom has established itself as the telecommunications company with the largest participation and presence in the Central American market.
