Tiaxa participated in the Visa Everywhere, submitting its technology solutions for credit risk management and identity and fraud detection based on mobile operator alternative data. Tiaxa’s cutting-edge solutions garnered a top 5 position in the contest that attracted 300 fintechs and startups from Latin America and the Caribbean.
Visa Everywhere is an initiative that seeks to promote innovative payment and commerce tools faced by companies of all sizes and sectors for its global network of members.
The areas in which Tiaxa gained recognition, qualifying for the semifinals were; service enablers and digital issuers, and added value for traders or consumers in finance.
In the late stages of the contest Tiaxa was pitted against four companies in the sub-region: Cumplo, Hackmetrix, SocialNet and Argentinian group SatoshiTango, the latter being selected to participate in the grand finale with Remessa Online (Brazil), Vaki (Colombia) QUASH.ai (USA) and Finerio Connect (Mexico) being held on the 14th of September.
The global Visa Everywhere initiative was launched in collaboration with Finnovista in 2017 for the Caribbean and Latin American areas, with the aim of creating an ecosystem of innovative solutions and identifying the most advanced technologies with the best projection in each area. It is worth noting that since its launch, the competition has achieved the participation of more than 1,300 startups in the region and has delivered more than US$40 million in funding.
