Tiaxa concluded its 2021 re-certification plan for the Evaluation of Basic Competencies with SICEP, through which the existence and implementation of management requirements that guarantee the proper functioning of the business is measured. This occurs in the areas of infrastructure, human resources, methodologies, environmental impact, risk prevention, connectivity, automation and community.

Tiaxa obtained an A rating according to its performance in the aforementioned subject matters. This means that more than 80% of the requirements met the quality standards, reaffirming the Company’s commitment to continue contributing to the development of the country’s mining industry. 

Currently, SICEP is the main certification body for suppliers to the mining industry in Chile, working with more than 3,500 suppliers of goods and services 25 user companies, including BHP Billiton, Antofagasta Minerals, Glencore, SQM, Teck and Yamana Gold, which together produce more than 60% of the country’s mining GDP.
